Role of a Floor Standing Speaker :
A floor standing speaker has many uses. It can be used a single sound system in compact rooms. It can be paired with another identical speaker to create a stereo pair for more spacious sound. Placement of Floor Standing Speakers :
In a 5-, 7- or higher surround sound system, you want the floor standing speakers to point directly at the listening position. This position is on a couch at a comfortable distance from the TV. The tweeters must be at ear level with the listener when they are seated on the couch. You might also toe-in the two speakers, meaning you can slightly angle them towards the center of the couch. This will give you a more accurate and tight sound – the sweet spot will be right on the couch.
